Mardi Gras Dinner

A festive time was had by all at our New Orleans Style Mardi Gras celebration on February 16. The hardworking Kitchen Krewe produced gallons of delicious gumbo, platters of muffelata stuffed with meats and cheeses, King Cake, pralines and, of course, crepes. Entertainment was provided by Linden Crumrine and friends. Some thirty people braved the winter snowstorm to join in the festivities. If you were unable to make it but would like to sample the gumbo, we still have a few quarts left for purchase. We've stashed them in the Parish House freezer and are selling them on the honor system during Coffee Hour. (A cashbox is next to the freezer.) Shrimp and crab gumbo is $10 a quart; chicken and andouille sausage gumbo is $8 a quart. Get 'em while they're cold!
